Kate Segal, Owner at Inside Out Health

I have always been interested in food – having studied hotel & catering originally and then moving to live in France with my husband – and a keen interest in health especially once I had a family of my own. So when I came across a course to train as a Nutritional Therapist it seemed the perfect combination.

After I qualified I practiced from home as a Nutritional Therapist as well as starting work in my local health food shop to gain experience giving advice. Within 18 months I had taken ownership of the shop and 8 years later the shop has grown – we have changed location and now have a team of Nutritional Therapists.

I love having a health food shop as it means I have the chance to speak to a wide range of people, and we have built such a lovely community of customers all interested in looking after their health from the inside.

Alison Crowther, Nutritional Therapist

I’m a Mum with two children, now teenagers. One of my children was born with a disability and some special needs, so I have a particular heart for anyone else who is walking that walk.  I’m also a single mum, so I appreciate what it’s like to be stretched!

However, I know too many of us have a similar story; of being pulled in all directions, with no time for ourselves and often under stress. So my passion is to come alongside those people and show them how to incorporate healthy eating into their busy lives and support their overall health.

I love encouraging people to try healthy foods, especially those who wouldn’t normally! We also see a lot of people in the shop who are keen to eat right and take the right supplements but who are completely confused by all the information out there, so it’s great helping those people find what’s right for them as an individual.

I have a love of teaching so have been  doing nutrition talks, which I thoroughly enjoy. The talks have been to a variety of people, ranging from Corporate companies and local businesses, through to smaller organisations and the general public.  It is such a pleasure to be able to give people practical tips and advice, to help them support their health.

Bea Lyus, Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist

Bea qualified from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014.  She originally graduated as an Economist with a first class degree, however soon afterwards she experienced a period of hormonal and digestive problems. Her quest for a natural, non-pharmaceutical solution lead her to study and qualify in Nutritional Therapy.

As a mum of two and despite a busy schedule, she enjoys making delicious and healthy food, blogging about her daily meals. She enables her clients to feel good about themselves.

Bea’s clients enjoy working with her and benefiting from upgraded physical and mental health in both their professional and personal lives.  She helps clients achieve the fastest results using functional testing to prepare personalised, data-driven therapy programmes.  She also participates in talks about nutrition and food preparation.

She has supported clients and achieved life-changing results such as: migraines have gone after 40 years, insomnia & stress diminished for a high-flyer worker, musculoskeletal’s pain which does not require painkillers anymore to name just a few. We are sure you will enjoy being supported by Bea in becoming naturally healthy inside and out.

Gill Rawling, Nutritional Therapist

Gill obtained the Institute for Optimum Nutrition’s Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, and the University of West London’s BSc in Nutritional Therapy and has been practising for 7 years.  She sees clients with a wide range of health issues. Particular interests include digestive health, hormonal imbalances, weight management and autoimmune conditions.

She uses the Functional Medicine approach, which assesses the function of organs and body systems and how these may be impacted by nutrition and lifestyle choices.  She has first-hand experience in making nutrition and lifestyle changes so understands that recommendations need to be practical, achievable…and delicious.

Gill came to nutritional therapy after years of stress and hectic lifestyle gradually led to health problems for which mainstream medicine offered no lasting solutions. Taking her health into her own hands she turned to nutritional therapy and experiencing its positive impact on her own health, decided to retrain.

She follows the Paleo way of eating, involving (happy) meat, fish, fruit and lots of vegetables.  Gill is passionate about fresh, natural and uncomplicated food believing this must come first.  In her spare time she loves growing organic fruit and vegetables on her allotment.
