Hair loss or thinning hair can be quite upsetting for many, and this subject is one of the most frequently asked about in store. Amongst several products we get great feedback on, I am excited to share Nutritional Support for Hair, the new three-pronged approach called the Tri-Hair System that Viridian Nutrition have recently released.
We have a limited number of Hair Support leaflets, which detail the extensively researched positive and negative factors in hair loss, including nutrients that impact hair condition. The information goes alongside a three product programme of hair support, you can read about these further down this newsletter.
The leaflets are available in store if you wish to read further, but here are a few points I found interesting:-
- Hair is made up of three sections; the cuticle (outer layer), the cortex (contains the keratin and hair colour) and the medulla (inner hollow tube which determines hair thickness).
- There are 4 phases of hair growth; growth, regression, rest and shedding.
- We shed approximately 50-150 hairs per day while we have (on average) 100,000 hairs on our head at any one time.
The Tri-Hair System involves a supplement to take internally, an oil to take internally and a topical oil to apply to the scalp and hair. The products can also be purchased individually.
