WE ARE OPEN Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm

SHOP ‘TIL LATE on Wednesday 9am to 7pm

As Registered Nutritional Therapists (RNT) we work together with you to investigate and identify the root cause of your symptoms, and address these by creating a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme.

Before the first consultation, we will provide you with a health questionnaire and a 7 day food diary to complete.

Please give yourself time to complete this as fully as possible and aim to return it 7 days prior to your consultation.

Getting to know you and your main health goals is a vital part of ensuring that recommendations are tailored to your needs and most importantly are achievable for you.

The initial consultation typically lasts 1hr 15 minutes, and in this time the RNT will expand on the questionnaire and delve further into areas such as:

  • health goals
  • symptoms
  • existing health conditions
  • medication and supplements, you’re currently taking
  • medical history
  • family history
  • lifestyle
  • diet

You may feel that some questions appear unrelated to your health concerns but the fuller the picture of your health and lifestyle the better.  All this information enables your RNT to develop a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme.

In some cases, tests may be suggested to more fully understand your health concerns.  Some of these will be available through your GP, while others will be available through independent laboratories, which would incur an additional cost. The costs will vary depending on which test is used. Your RNT will be able to discuss all these options with you.

The consultations will predominantly be held in the consultation room based at Inside Out Health shop. However, if relevant, part of the time may be spent introducing you to foods, recipes or supplements on the shop floor.  Additionally, some product samples may be available too.

Ongoing consultations are 50 minutes in length

Your health goals are constantly reviewed to make sure they are being met and if necessary, the RNT may suggest or refer you to other practitioners (eg acupuncture, massage etc)

Dietary Review

Maybe you just want to address your diet, or perhaps you have food intolerances and need help with meal ideas?  Maybe you want to go vegan or just want to make sure your diet is as healthy as possible then a dietary review may be a good option for you.

All you need is to complete a 7 day food diary and bring it along to your first consultation.

Depending on your goals, it can be a one off or a series of sessions to help with food and recipe ideas.

The consultation is 30 minutes in duration.

Please note this consultation only looks at your diet. No additional advice on supplements, lifestyle or testing is given.

Who are the consultations suitable for?

Consultations are suitable for anyone looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing, as well as individuals with long term sub optimal health.

Please note however that Registered Nutritional Therapists rely on your GP for diagnoses. If you are suffering from any health condition you should always consult your GP first.

Nutritional therapy is a complementary therapy, not an alternative medicine and works well alongside conventional medicine.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Any individual who is under 16yrs of age cannot have a consultation without the written consent of their parent or guardian, and their parent or guardian must be present during any consultation.
