Puffed Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

Puffed Quinoa – Quinoa is gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain sufficient amounts of all nine essential amino acids, therefore it’s a perfect protein food for vegans and vegetarians as well.

It is also high in fibre, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various beneficial antioxidants. Puffed quinoa can be eaten on its own or add to milk in place of puffed rice and enjoy – no cooking required. Puffed quinoa also makes a crunchy addition to yogurt, oatmeal and granola bars.  

1/3 cup of quinoa puffs for little people

½ cup for adults

Coconut milk½

1 tsp of Ceylon cinnamon

½ -1 tsp of Maple syrup

2 tsp milled flaxseed

Toasted pumpkin seeds, plain sunflower seeds

Cherries or other fruits 

Combine all wet ingredients: milk, syrup and cinnamon well and pour it onto to the dry ingredients. Top it with fresh or frozen fruit and sprinkles of desiccated coconut. Enjoy!
