Ooh! Ah! Seems to be some of the sounds of the season as aches and pains seem to be rearing their ugly head.
There are many options to help support those aches and painful joints. Key ones I like are fish oils (which help provide moisture and anti-inflammatory benefits to joints) and turmeric is brilliant as an anti-inflammatory. Turmeric can be taken as a supplement or by adding in to food such as a curry dish or sprinkled on your roast potatoes; adds a nice bit of colour too.
Collagen is increasingly popular, and we are getting good feedback not only for joint support but for hair, skin and nails too. Easy to add to your coffee, porridge or smoothie. Consistency seems key to getting the benefits.
I regularly use bone broth, a good source of collagen, and we have some great ambient options including ready to use broth and powder form alongside the frozen bone broth. I have these as hot drinks or add to stews, bolognese or soups.
Come in and let us see what we can suggest for your aches and pains this November. Don’t forget to take Vitamin D now the days are shorter too!
